Would you listen to a podcast about language/linguistics?

Hey everyone! Some of my friends and I (all linguistic graduate students) were thinking about creating a podcast about language/linguistics. It would NOT be a “How to Learn X Language” podcast or a very technical jargon-heavy show for people that were already familiar with linguistics. These are the two types of language podcasts that I’ve found so far.

We want to create a very informal, linguistics-based podcast for people who are interested or kind of interested in language/linguistics. It would be more of a conversation with the listener than an academic lecture. We would cover a wide variety of language-related topics, including (but not limited to) accents, historic languages, invented languages, grammar, etc.

I’m trying to gauge interest in our project to see how many people would listen to such a podcast. If you’re even REMOTELY interested in our [hypothetical] podcast, PLEASE like, reblog, and signal boost this!

Oooh! Sounds interesting!

I actually don’t really like podcasts myself (not an audio person) but I would reblog the heck out of this because I’m pretty sure other people do and I like the overall idea. So I think you should still do it.
